By the end of June 2010, I will have completed a Master’s in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability in Sweden and I feel attendance at this conference will be an excellent compliment to my last year of studies. My goals as a participant in the Congress are to build a global network of inspirational young leaders to work with and share ideas about how we can support our communities, regions, and nations into a future of prosperity and fulfillment. I have been blessed over the past few years to work on a variety of projects ranging from sustainable development to innovation to community building. In addition, my recent degree has taught me how individuals, communities, and companies can take the necessary steps needed to move society towards a sustainable future. Combining my experience and education, I believe I will bring to the Congress a range of inspirational ideas, lessons learned, and the ever-important energy needed to instigate such necessary global change.
Although the digital age has allowed us to connect virtually and collaborate with all corners of the globe, there is no replacement for being physically present to share experiences and make connections with others. While the Congress is generously covering my expenses for the duration of the conference, I am seeking support for my travel costs to and from Istanbul. My goal is to raise $1000. I plan to blog about my experience and would be more than happy to make a presentation to your organization or community about my experience and what I have learned.
